Who We Are
Our IdentityÂ
We are a community of Bible-believers who seek to glorify God in all that we do, and to share the good news with any who will hear. We confess faith in the grace of God revealed to us through His Son, Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord whom we seek to worship, serve and love and make known His gospel (the good news concerning Him) to all.
Leadership
Pastor James Playfoot
Pastor James did not grow up in a Christian family, but came to know, trust, and follow Jesus after reading the Bible at the age of 20. At 22, he married his wife, Katy, in the USA.

Soon after, he returned to Melbourne to study the Bible at PTC, where he completed a Bachelor of Theology. Following his studies, he began pastoring a church in Broadford in 2002, where he faithfully served until 2017. Since then, he has been serving as the pastor of MCF.

He and his wife, Katy have been blessed with eight children.

Our Mission
Sermon
Families
Worship Style
Our service usually goes for 1.25-1.5 hours. During that time we sing some songs both old and new. We have chosen to have a quieter, more reflective style of music. We join together in times of prayer. Every 2 weeks we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Â
A major part of our service is the sermon. They often go for about 40 mins. They are an explanation of a part of the Bible. We usually go consecutively through a book of the Bible.Â
We are a family-friendly church and love welcoming families of all ages. Each Sunday, we run a Sunday School program prior to the service (during term).Â
Â
We love to have the children in the service with the adults. This may be more difficult at first for parents but we encourage families to worship together. We believe that this is what is best for the children as they learn to listen to God and follow the Lord Jesus.

For parents with younger children, we have a parents’ room available, where the sermon is live-streamed so you can still listen in while caring for your child.
We enjoy a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary spiritual songs. The teaching is always grounded in Scripture, designed to encourage and challenge us in our daily walk as a new creation in Christ.
We want you to feel comfortable and at ease when you visit — whatever stage of life you’re in, you are warmly welcome.
